ELLEN "ELL" BRABO

Ellen "Ell" Brabo is a Virginia native and U.S. Army Veteran with a passion for travel, having explored six continents and over 30 countries. In May 2021, she purchased the historic Bowers-Tripp House and opened it as The Ell Hotel in June 2022. Ell is also an avid photographer and a supporter of the local arts, with much of the artwork displayed throughout the hotel being on loan from local artists or captured by Ell during her travels. She is a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution - Pentagon Chapter and serves on the Board of Directors for both the local Chamber of Commerce and the Washington Harbor District Alliance.

A fierce advocate for Stop Soldier Suicide, Ell was a Top 20 Finalist in the Ms. Veteran America Competition and received the 2022 She Means Business Award.

Ell's favorite local activities in Little Washington include savoring a southern chicken salad wrap from Carryout by Chrislyn, enjoying a draft Code of Conduct IPA at Pitt Street Brewery on the Pamlico, wakeboarding with Wake2Wake Watersports, kayaking at Dinah's Landing, and taking in stunning sunsets on a river cruise with Across the Sound Charters.
